Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS), a leading oil and gas company from Malaysia, has develop their first CCGT. To operate and maintain their power plant, PETROS needs to build strong operator and maintenance team trough full time training and development program that provided by Company with extensive experience and international acknowledged competencies.
The strategic collaboration between PLN IP and PETROS through the Field Operation Development Program (FODP) provide a platform for knowledge transfer and also opportunity for sharing experiences and encourage cross-cultural work approaches. This program has been successfully implemented using a comprehensive approach comprising In-Class Training and On-Job Training.
During the In-Class Training, participants were provided with theoretical materials and knowledge by experts from PLN IP, engaging in experience sharing and interactive discussions in a classroom setting.
The capacity development continued with the On-Job Training phase. In this stage, PETROS operators were given the opportunity to work directly as shift operators at Priok CCGT for approximately five months. They gained hands-on experience operating various critical blocks and equipment, including the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), Steam Turbine (ST), Gas Turbine (GT), Balance of Plant (BOP), and Central Control Room (CCR).
