CHALLANGES
PLN Indonesia Power, through its subsidiary, won the tender for the installation of a monitoring system for geothermal power plants from upstream to downstream. The short project completion period of just 1 month required IP personnel to work harder to ensure the project was completed on time. IP staff had to integrate 3 geothermal power plant units—Dieng, Dieng Small Scale, and Patuha—into a single real-time monitoring system
SOLUTION
To complete the project, a schedule plan was developed, and teams were allocated to each activity. Personnel were divided into 2 teams: one for the Dieng location and the other for Patuha during data collection in the field. Subsequently, a workshop was conducted with the entire team to develop a monitoring dashboard according to user requests.
IP personnel successfully created a geothermal power plant monitoring dashboard that includes well monitoring, energy metering, real-time MW, operational parameters, performance, and trend parameters, all within the contract timeline.
