CHALLENGE
PT Bussan Auto Finance (BAFI), as one of the motor vehicle financing companies in Indonesia, is concerned about emissions, both those generated from the company’s operational vehicles (Scope 1) and from the electricity it consumes (Scope 2).
SOLUTION
To address this need, PT BAFI purchased Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Reduction Certificates (SPE-GRK) through the IDX Carbon platform, sourced from carbon assets owned by PLN Indonesia Power – Priok CCGT Block 4. The total quantity purchased by PT BAFI amounted to 7.000 tons of CO₂e. Through this SPE-GRK acquisition, BAFI not only offsets its carbon emissions (achieving carbon neutrality) but also strengthens its image as an environmentally responsible company aligned with sustainability principles.
