Training PI Vision & Asset Management PT Vale Indonesia

CHALLENGES

As a power generation company that implements digitalization systems, PT PLN Indonesia Power organized a training program on PI System and Asset Framework at PT Vale Indonesia. PLN IP provided knowledge transfer to PT Vale Indonesia to deepen their understanding of predictive maintenance and predictive analytics for generators using the PI System. This training was conducted in alignment with PT Vale Indonesia's need, as they were undergoing a six-month Proof of Concept (PoC) at the time. This initiative is expected to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability at PT Vale Indonesia through the application of advanced analytics technology.

SOLUTIONS

Through experienced instructors from PLN Indonesia Power, the training was conducted in-person, where participants received hands-on guidance in the field. The training began with an introduction to Maximo and the PI System used by PLN IP, followed by a detailed explanation of the end-to-end process for implementing the Reliability Efficiency Optimization Center (REOC) at power plants. Additionally, participants gained insight into the use of Autodispatch software, the comprehensive development and utilization of the PI System, anomaly analysis, and action plans presented on the PI System dashboard. The training also covered information on Enterprise Asset Management systems in power plant operations, along with an in-depth understanding of reliability concepts to improve power plant operational reliability.
